[ She whines and clings harder. She tries to crawl away from him in her tangle of blankets. ]

Nooo. I'm one with the blankets.

[cowboyscientist]

That's too bad because you are getting up.

[ He tugs harder now, pulling at the blankets and, in turn, her since she's so tangled up in them. ]

Don't make me come in there.

[tornadotamer]

[ She groans as she moved about the bed. She's rolling towards him. There's a little peek of her face outside the covers. ]

That sounds like a great idea. Why don't you come join me?

[cowboyscientist]

Oh no.

[ Yes, he knows what he'd said but he also knows what would happen if he does rawl into bed with her. ]

Uh uh, if I get into bed with you, I won't get out. Not falling for that.

[tornadotamer]

[ Her eyes get all squinty in a glare before she ducks back under her covers. He'll have to unwrap her at this rate. ]

It's too cold!

[cowboyscientist]

I will take you blankets and all.

[ He grabs at her legs and starts tugging her towards the bottom of the bed so he can just pick her up like a sack of flour. ]

I'll warm you up after!

[tornadotamer]

[ She squeaks and tries to grab a pillow, but it doesn't really anchor her anyway. She tries to wiggle her way free from his hold. ]

Tyler, nooo.

[ She pretends to shiver a lot to show how cold she is. Maybe that will sell him. ]

[cowboyscientist]

You're a very good actress.

( because it's not that cold. he makes a face and hauls her out of bed and into the bathroom. )

I'm gonna put you in the shower.

[tornadotamer]

[ The squeak turns into a squeal when she finds herself gracelessly over his shoulder. She smacks her hands at his back and ass in protest. ]

Don't you dare! Seriously, Tyler!

[cowboyscientist]

[ He just grins at the attempts to get him to stop as he moves towards the bathroom. ]

I won't do it if you say you'll get up and come with me.

[ But, if not, she's going into the shower. ]

[tornadotamer]

Uggggh.

[ She goes limp over his shoulder with resignation. There's a deep pout on her face. She's already awake enough. When she's with him, it doesn't feel quite that cold. She sighs dramatically. ]

These donuts better be life changing.

[cowboyscientist]

They will be.

[ He reaches up and pats her ass before laughing and moving towards the door. ]

I think you should just wear your blanket and whatever's on under there. I won't make you get outta the car.

How cold is it outside?

[ The blanket is all well and good inside, but going outside is a different story. ]

You really mean it though? I don't have to get out? Will you get me a coffee too?

[cowboyscientist]

Yes, you don't have to get out and yes, I'll get you a coffee.

[ He wasn't a monster! ]

As long as you come with me.

How far is it?

[ She's slowly coming around to it. She needs to find her boots. She's just in her pajamas with her blanket wrapped around her like a cocoon. ]

[cowboyscientist]

About ten minutes away.

[ Not too far. ]

Truck's already warmed up.

[tornadotamer]

[ She concedes to her fate even as stomps her feet into her boots. ]

Okay. Let's do this then.

[ Not the peppiest but she's going along with it. ]

[cowboyscientist]

That's my girl.

[ He gives her ass a light smack and then wraps an arm around her shoulders to guide her out. ]

Let's go.

[tornadotamer]

[ She playfully bumps her hips against his as he leads her out. By the time they get outside, she shivers and pulls her blanket tighter around her. The cold air nips at her cheeks and nose. ]

Ugh. What kind of donuts do they have?

[cowboyscientist]

Any kind you want, city girl.

[ Maybe that's not exactly true but it's close enough. ]

What've you got a taste for?

[tornadotamer]

The bed.

[ She grumbles about it. He's the one that's made a big deal about donuts. ]

Can't go wrong with a classic glazed though.

[cowboyscientist]

Stay in the car. I'm going to go get a few.

[ Maybe one or two would be glazed but he's going to get a few others too. ]

And a coffee. Don't fall back to sleep!

[ Her answer is a grumble. She's still wrapped up in her blanket with her legs curled up against her. She leans against the cold window and watches him go in. So far, she doesn't see what's so special. She doesn't realize she's closed her eyes until she's drifted off. ]

[cowboyscientist]

[ It takes a little bit of time to get everything but soon enough, he comes back out with a box of donuts and two coffees. When he sits back in the truck and notices that she's asleep, he smirks.

And then he reaches for the radio and turns it on. Loud. ]

[ She startles awake with a gasp. It takes her a beat to get her bearings. Her bleary eyes find Tyler looking all too smug, so she does the only thing that makes sense.

She reaches over and flicks his ear in retaliation. She glares at him. ]

You're the worst sometimes!
