[ Her nose wrinkles at his smugness. She shoots him a glare that's much more awake now. She eats another bite and chews thoughtfully. ]

I didn't say it was worth getting out of bed for.

[ And he knows it was. ]

Besides, you can go back to bed if you're that tired, still. I won't force you to stay up.

I'm awake.

[ She sighs it out. She has been since they started texting. She sips at her coffee and wishes they didn't have the center console in the way. It'd be nice to scoot over and curl against him while they eat their donuts. ]

Are you always this awake and chirpy in the mornings?

[cowboyscientist]

Chirpy?

[ Is he being chirpy? The thought makes him laugh a little and he shrugs. ]

Not always. Guess I was just properly motivated this morning and had a reason for being bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Motivated for donuts?

[ She finishes the glaze and licks her sticky fingers. She's not mad about it. The donuts have hit the spot. She feels more alive now with that and the coffee in her system. ]

What's next then?

[cowboyscientist]

Do you want me to take you back home?

[ He smiles over at her as he takes another bite of another donut. ]

Go back to bed?

[tornadotamer]

Only if you come into bed with me.

[ She teasingly waggles her brows at him. He looks pretty awake though. She's not sure that he'll be into some lounging. ]

Well, I was definitely hoping that you'd say that.

[ Even if he doesn't go back to sleep, he thinks he can be still and quiet. He can be a good pillow for her. ]

If you're inviting me, I'm accepting.

Mmm, maybe we can lounge on the couch and watch a movie?

[ That seems like a fair compromise. Once she's fully settled and energized, the rest of the day will be their oyster. ]

Okay, I can deal with that.

[ He gets the truck moving, heading back towards her place so they can do just that. ]

I'm gonna eat all these donuts so I even might end up falling asleep.

You're seriously going to eat all these?

[ She eyes the box dubiously. Two donuts for her max would be enough. ]

Where do you put it all?

I am going to eat all these.

[ Maybe not all at once but he's definitely going to eat them all. He bought them, he's eating them. ]

And I've got a high metabolism. Plus, I do a lot of running.

I'm sure we can find other ways to help you work them off.

[ She smirks at him from behind her coffee cup. She lets the blanket slide off her shoulders, revealing the tank top she'd fallen asleep in. ]

Oh, that's not fair.

[ He was here to eat donuts but now donuts were the last thing on his mind. He swallows, sliding his tongue against his lip. ]

Nice shoulder.

[ She glances down at her bare shoulder then flicks her gaze up at him with a grin. ]

You think so?

[cowboyscientist]

I do think so.

[ He bites at his lip before he clears his throat because he can't get too distracted. He still has to drive. ]

Like it a lot. Hold the donuts?

Why? Planning on driving fast? In a hurry?

[ She takes the box into her lap, so it doesn't go flying this way and that. She's protecting the goods. The blanket keeps dragging down her body with the way she shifts, so now her long legs are exposed. ]

No, just practicing good driver safety.

[ And how would he do that if he had one hand on a donuts box? ]

Wouldn't want to get into an accident while you're...

[ Well, slowly showing off more and more skin. ]

Holding donuts and coffee?

[ Innocently, she holds up both to show him that she's keeping them secure. Her sleep shorts are tiny, so it barely looks like she's wearing them with the way they're riding up. ]

Eyes on the road, Tyler.

[ But he does pull his attention back to the road and takes a deep, slow breath. ]

I think you're doing this on purpose now.

Doing what? I'm just holding the donuts like you asked.

[ She smiles sweetly over at him. Like a butter couldn't melt in her mouth. It's only the mischief that twinkles in her eyes that gives her away. ]

[ Or maybe she's getting her revenge. ]

Don't make me crash the truck.

What, no I'm not.

[ She's definitely getting her revenge. He's the one that decide to poke the bear and wake her up. ]

Focus on driving or else you won't get a taste of... donuts.

[ His attention swivels back to the road and he clears his throat. He was fine, he was cool, he was good. ]
